“It’s daring to be happy and embrace life when I am simultaneously mourning my previous life.”
When Jennifer walks into a room—you feel her presence. It’s a big, fierce kind of light. She’s an ’80s soul with a deep love for nature and life’s little moments, an incredible mom and wife, and a really talented photographer. We met while working together as Ophthalmic photographers at Tufts Medical Center and have been friends ever since, sharing life stories, laughter, and a love for capturing life through a lens. I truly admire Jenn—not only for her artistry and unwavering commitment as a mother but also for her will and strength as she navigates life with Stage 4 non-smoker’s lung cancer. She is, truly, one of the strongest women I know.

Jennifer has a way of speaking that makes you pause. Her story reminds us that every day we wake up is another chance to live, really live. And she’s doing just that—one hike, one laugh, one small gesture of love at a time.
“I love the quote by Mary Oliver: ‘Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?’ I remind myself of this every day.”
For Jennifer, freedom isn’t just a feeling—it’s a choice. A practice. A sacred act of giving her body what it needs and choosing joy, even when carrying an invisible weight, she lives life to the fullest! Wether she’s out in nature photographing the beauty around her or doing something daring like parasailing in the Bahamas despite her fear of heights (yes—she did that!), Jennifer is constantly writing her own definition of adventure.
“ It was exhilarating… the view was amazing and it felt like I was flying… I would definitely do it again!!”
When asked what was the most daring thing she’s ever done, Jenn described her perspective of living with the knowledge that her life could end sooner then she’d like it too:
“… I think it’s daring to live life to the fullest, with this knowledge. It’s mentally hard and it never eases up. It’s like carrying a heavy backpack filled with scary unknowns and heavy rocks and we can’t stop carrying the bag or give it to someone else to carry for us . It’s daring to be happy and to embrace life when I am simultaneously mourning my previous life and the deep sadness that comes from knowing my soulmate and children will have to navigate a insurmountable loss. It’s heavy.”
If you ask me, she is incredibly Daring and an example of pure LIFE!
One of her favorite places in the world? Her remote family cabin in the woods—no electricity, no running water. You either hike two miles through the woods or canoe into camp. It’s raw, grounding, and free of distractions. Just her, the family and the wild, connecting as one.
“Being there strips away all of what is “fluff”… It is a part of me and I know each time I am there I will feel a release, a freeness and peacefulness.”
She’s a wolf spirit—strong, intuitive, and fiercely loyal. Her dream trip is to Antelope Canyon in Utah with her husband and kids. But her true bucket list item?
“I will definitely make each moment count!”
That’s Jennifer. No Limits!
Because even in the face of all of life’s challenges, she’s pushing forward, making it count, touching souls with her big beautiful smile —open-hearted, wide-eyed, and daring to live.
